Introduction: Hello. This website will provide useful infomation regarding the Village of Webster and our community. I have a unique perspective to bring in my role as Webster Village Mayor and member of our Webster community. I have involved in the politics of our Village and Town for over 15 years. I was first appointed to the Village Board in 2005, elected in 2006 and re-elected for a 4 year term in 2007. I was appointed Deputy Mayor in 2008, served as Acting Mayor in January of 2010 and was appointed Mayor by the Village Board on February 2, 2010. I am one of two appointees to the Business Improvement District as a member of the BID Board of Directors and am laision to the Village Band. I am also the laision to the Village Parks and Recreation Committee and Board laision to the Village Hall. I invite you to check out the information in the web site. I believe very strongly that Village residents and the media should have broad access to the documents that we see as members the Village Board. There is great value in the Freedom of Information Act and the Open Meetings Laws. The fact is, though, that if we as elected officals were more open, we could just provide this information to the public without forms and delays. I hope by providing the information here, I might start a trend that will result in much more open government for all of our residents.
